This relic was found recently at La Boiselle by a local collector. The village was the scene of bitter fighting during July 1916. The relic consists of the muddle of a SMLE with a Hooked Quillon bayonet still attached probably dropped during the famous attack. To prevent further rust and decay I have covered the relic with a rust preventative which gives it a very displayable look.
