This is a ultra rare example of the famous British WW1 water bottle that is made in a two part construction and in brass. This was found by a local collector in the Ancre Valley which was the scene of bitter fighting. Overall the bottle is in good condition considering it is a ground dug relic with a small area of its original cover still present.
