WW1 leather SMLE sling which was apparently found in a old brothel in Avaluy (apparently!). This was purchased from a old collector in a nearby village who has owned it for over 40 years and is incredibly rare. The sling is in almost mind condition considering its age and is ready to be placed onto a SMLE. The sling is dated 1916 and maker marked HGR LTD. This is probably a once in a life time purchase because in twenty years of visiting the Somme I have never seen a sling with such amazing history and in this shape!
