This relic was found very recently at La Boiselle which was the scene of bitter fighting during July 1916. This example is the muzzle of a SMLE with its bayonet attached and also the rare wire cutter attachment still attached as well. This is a very poignant relic as it was probably dropped by an attacking soldier during an advance on the German trenches.
